The towns around Boulder
Seven towns within about forty minutes, each checked the same way as everything else here. Including several things that have closed, moved or been renamed since most guides were written.

Within forty minutes of Boulder you've got a natural lake, a sandstone quarry town, two nationally known music festivals, a hand-carved carousel at 8,200 feet, and a butterfly conservatory. Some of it beats anything you'd drive across Boulder for. Some of it isn't worth the fuel, and we'll tell you which is which so you can spend the Saturday well.

Two towns that don't have their own page
Superior is covered inside the Louisville guide, and Niwot inside the Longmont one. Both are genuinely worth visiting and neither has enough searching it to justify a page of its own, so rather than pad two thin pages we put them where people will actually find them.

How these were checked
The same way as the rest of this site. Every price, fee, season and closure was read off the operator's own website, the town's own site, or Boulder County's, never off a review aggregator. Where something couldn't be confirmed, the page says so instead of filling the gap. Two towns made that harder than it should have been: the City of Louisville blocks automated requests entirely, so its figures came from an archive of its own pages, and that's disclosed on the page itself.
